The Best Eye Hygiene Routine to Avoid Blepharitis

Do you wake up with burning, flaky or itchy eyes in the morning? If so, you know how unpleasant this feeling is and how much this discomfort can affect your daily life and even prevent you from accomplishing routine tasks.
What is anterior blepharitis? How do I treat it?
Anterior blepharitis is when bacteria or mites implant themselves on your eyelids and lashes. We have a range of high quality eye cleansers help you fight both of these issues.
- Bacteria: we recommend the antimicrobial cleanser, Blephaclean. This product is gentle enough for the most sensitive eyes, and strong enough that its antibacterial properties will ensure that your lids and lashes have been properly cleaned.
- Mites: we suggest Blephadex foam cleanser or towelettes made from a combination of coconut oil and tea tree oil (the most effective and gentle ingredient that kills mites).
If left untreated, these infections can spread and cause severe eye symptoms like burning, itching and grittiness just to name a few.
Not sure which one to use?
Always consult an eye doctor to make sure you’re given a proper diagnosis and the right treatment option for your case.
Did you know?
95% of patients over the age of 70 have mites on their eyelids.
Even though it’s a part of the normal flora to have these bacteria and mites, when they lodge themselves on your eyelashes, this is where it’s a problem.
Stay mindful
Our eyes are one of the most sensitive and important parts of our bodies.
Don’t forget or neglect to take proper care of them.
Stay healthy!
